Abstract
Modern systems are expected to perform in an atmosphere of environmental concern, increased safety & compliance requirements, advance integration, greater connectivity and tight fiscal scrutiny. The surge in large, complex and interconnected systems and capabilities (referred to as System-of-Systems) has led to new approaches their Systems Engineering (SE) - often called Capability Engineering or Complex Systems Engineering, or System-of-Systems Engineering (SoSE).
This presentation will begin by describing the nature of these System-of-Systems and how to identify them. An overview of SoSE and its key concepts will then be provided, followed by some techniques and practices to support this.
